How we check

Home/How we check

We do not have a lab and we will not pretend to. This page is the honest version of how a VOXA number gets made.

1. Every price comes from the vendor, and we show the date

Prices, plan limits and feature lists come from the vendor's own pricing page, help centre or documentation. Not from a review roundup, not from a screenshot someone else took. Every guide carries the date we last checked, so you can tell how fresh the number is.

2. We price the boring case, not the cheapest tier

A list price tells you nothing until you add volume. So we work out what the tool costs for a normal small operation: a handful of seats, a real month of work, the plan you would actually end up on. That is often two or three tiers above the free plan, and that is the number that matters.

3. We look for the catch before the good news

  • What the free plan leaves out, and when it stops being enough.
  • Seat maths, because a cheap per-seat price on ten seats is not cheap.
  • What happens when you go over the limit, and what an overage costs.
  • Whether you can get your data and your files out again.

4. We say what we did not test

If we have not run a tool ourselves, we say so on the page and label the claim as vendor-stated. We would rather lose a sentence than invent a test result. Where we do run something, we say how long we ran it and what it cost.

5. We use AI tools, and we check their work

Like most small teams in 2026, we use AI tools in our own workflow. What we do not do is publish a number an AI made up. Every price and limit is verified against the source before the page goes live, and the verdict is written by us, not by a model.

6. If we get something wrong, tell us and we will fix it

Email [email protected] with the page address and what is wrong. We correct the page, change the checked date, and keep the rest of the guide as it was. Nothing gets quietly deleted.
