Zoho Books pricing in India: all five plans, and what the add-ons add
The short answer
Zoho Books is priced per organisation, not per user, which is why it can look cheap for a team of five. The bill grows through add-ons: extra users ₹150-180 each, extra locations ₹600-720, and document scans on top. The Standard plan is ₹749 a month on annual billing, ₹899 monthly.
All five plans, monthly and annual
These are the per-organisation prices on Zoho Books’ India pricing page, read on 19 October 2026. The lower number is the annual-billing rate, the higher one is what you pay month to month.
| Plan | Annual billing | Monthly billing |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | ₹749per org, per month | ₹899 |
| Professional | ₹1,499per org, per month | ₹1,799 |
| Premium | ₹2,999per org, per month | ₹3,599 |
| Elite | ₹4,999per org, per month | ₹5,999 |
| Ultimate | ₹7,999per org, per month | ₹9,599 |
The jump between Standard and Professional is ₹750 a month on annual billing. That is the difference between one person keeping books and a team handling invoices, bills and purchase orders with more automation.
What the add-ons cost
This is the part that does not show up in the headline price.
| Add-on | Price | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Extra user | ₹150-180per user, per month | Three extra people is ₹450-540 a month |
| Extra location | ₹600-720per location, per month | A second shop or branch doubles some costs |
| Document autoscans | ₹419-499per 50 scans | Bulk receipt scanning is metered, not included |
A three-person shop on Standard, annual billing, with one extra user, pays ₹749 plus roughly ₹150, so about ₹900 a month before any scan packs. That is still cheaper than most per-seat tools, which is the point of per-organisation pricing.
The catch nobody prints
Per-organisation pricing is generous with people and strict with modules. The moment you need inventory, multiple locations or bulk scanning, you are not buying Zoho Books any more, you are buying a plan tier plus add-ons. Budget the add-ons first, then pick the tier.
The second catch: annual billing saves roughly 17% on every tier, but it locks the money for a year. If you are testing whether bookkeeping software fits how you work, pay monthly for two months first.
Where the AI sits, and what it changes
The AI features are aimed at data entry: reading receipts and documents, matching transactions to bank lines, and suggesting categories. Useful, but none of it changes the subscription. The AI saves your time, not your invoice.
If your actual problem is chasing late payments rather than entering them, that is a different build: see automating invoice chasing and the wider pattern in why AI bills grow.
Questions people ask
Is Zoho Books cheaper than hiring an accountant?
They solve different problems. Software keeps the books accurate all year; an accountant signs off filings. Most small businesses need both, and the software is the cheaper half.
Does the price include GST filing?
GST features are part of the paid plans on the India pricing page. What is not included is the person who checks the returns before they go in.
Can I start on the cheapest plan and move up?
Yes, and you should. The plans differ by modules, so start on Standard and move only when a module you actually use is missing.
